“Life is Better on the Porch”

Early morning quiet time, mid afternoon naps or late night chats by lantern light….my porch, my favorite place!  Add hospitality to your home by creating a comfortable and cozy space that not only welcomes your guests, but provides a place to “do life” together!

This Christmas porch features perfectly placed patterns. The buffalo check adds a fun holiday feel!  Using a repeated pattern sparingly, while carefully balancing the location, is key to creating a cohesive feel to the design.

I love using a variety of greens and firs in holiday design!  It's a great way to add texture and color to your porch.  Decorating with one type of greenery throughout can look monotonous and dull. Spice it up with lots of berries, pinecones and shades of green!

Anchoring your space with an outdoor rug or runner provides an opportunity for added texture and comfort. In this case I used seagrass because of it’s natural and neutral color. This rug is the perfect complement allowing the beautiful brick wall to be the focal point.
